FOR ORGANISATIONS
The Middle Ground offers perspectives, practical resources and Peer Circles for
people leading in human services and the NDIS.
Your people leaders translate organisational priorities into everyday practice. They support teams, navigate uncertainty and hold responsibilities that do not always come with straightforward answers.
Supporting their leadership means making room for their thinking, relationships and sustainability too.
WHY MAKE SPACE?
Training has its place. So does time to reflect on real situations with people who understand the context and can offer another perspective.
PERSPECTIVE
Give leaders room to explore patterns, test assumptions and consider different responses.
CONNECTION
Offer opportunities to learn alongside people navigating similar responsibilities in different settings.
SUSTAINABILITY
Make support part of leadership practice, rather than something people seek only when the pressure becomes too much.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
EXPLORE & SHARE
Share a relevant issue page, use a reflection question in a team conversation, or explore a practical resource together.
People can browse the public collection in their own time, without joining a circle.
SUPPORT PARTICIPATION
Ask about supporting a person from your organisation to join a facilitated peer group.
We’ll discuss fit, current availability and practical arrangements before anyone commits.
THE MIDDLE GROUND PEER CIRCLES
Facilitated conversation grounded in real leadership questions.
Different experiences and perspectives to think alongside.
Room to reflect without needing a polished answer.
A group shaped by members’ questions and contributions.
Funding the agreed membership cost.
Protecting time to attend and participate.
Respecting the privacy of peer conversations.
Making room for learning without requiring members to report other people’s stories.
TRUST & BOUNDARIES
Peer Circles depend on trust.
Employer-funded members participate as people and peers, not as representatives expected to report back on the group.
Members can choose to bring their own learning into their workplace.
Other members’ identities, stories and contributions remain private under the group’s confidentiality agreement, with its stated limits.
Peer Circles do not replace organisational accountability, workplace supervision, clinical supervision or employee assistance services.
Participation is not an assessment of an employee’s performance.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
REMAINDER OF 2026
Ask about supporting a place in the founding group for the rest of 2026. Members help shape the experience through their participation and feedback.
Contact Dianna to discuss upcoming sessions, availability, the joining fee and invoicing arrangements before deciding.
LOOKING AHEAD
We’re shaping what Peer Circles will look like in 2027. Let us know you’re interested and we’ll share more as plans take shape.
No payment or commitment is required to express interest.
A CONVERSATION IS NOT A FIXED PACKAGE
You might be considering support for several leaders, wondering how the collection could help your teams, or have a question about a particular organisational context.
Tell us what you’re hoping to make possible. We’ll discuss whether The Middle Ground is a fit and what would need further planning.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SPACE
We bring different experiences of leadership and human services, and a shared interest in helping people think through the work with others.
CO-FOUNDER & CO-FACILITATOR
Dianna brings 25 years of leadership experience in human services, including CEO, executive and national management roles. She is curious about how beliefs, habits and past experiences shape the way we lead. In The Middle Ground, she brings a focus on the person inside the role, helping people recognise patterns, explore different perspectives and consider what they might do next.
CO-FOUNDER & CO-FACILITATOR
Rebecca brings more than 20 years of experience across disability services, operational and executive leadership, consulting and sector education. She is interested in how people lead within complex systems, and how relationships, expectations and organisational conditions shape their choices. In The Middle Ground, she brings leadership experience, deep sector knowledge and a systems lens that keeps the people in view.
