CO-FOUNDER & CO-FACILITATOR
Perspectives, practical resources and conversations from my work in The Middle Ground.
I’m interested in the questions that sit beneath everyday leadership challenges: what keeps happening, what shapes our responses, and what might help us find another way forward.
This is a place to get to know my perspective and explore what I’m contributing to the collection.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I write, teach and work alongside people leading across the NDIS, disability and community sectors.
My work sits at the intersection of leadership, service design, governance, supported decision-making and the practical realities of delivering support within complex systems.
I am often interested in what sits beneath the problem we can immediately see: what keeps repeating, what conditions are shaping people’s decisions, whose knowledge is being heard, and where responsibility sits when someone does not have all the authority they need. I tend to consider both the technical system and the human one, the policies, funding, roles and risks, as well as the relationships, power, fear, professional identities and unwritten rules that influence what happens in practice.
I do not think leadership always means having a finished answer. Often it begins with being able to stay with uncertainty long enough to understand what is happening, hear different perspectives and exercise judgement without reducing a complex situation too quickly.
Through The Middle Ground, Dianna and I are creating space for that kind of thinking: honest conversations, practical ideas and perspectives that are still taking shape. I bring a systemic lens, grounded knowledge of the sector and a strong belief that ideas should ultimately be useful in practice.
